Cube Nuroad One 2027 — Affordable Gravel That Does the Basics Properly
The 2027 Cube Nuroad One is the entry point to the Nuroad range, and it’s a genuinely well-judged bike. Cube’s High Performance Aluminium frame is paired with a lightweight aluminium fork, hydraulic disc brakes and Shimano’s dependable Cues drivetrain. As a result, you get a bike that’s ready for gravel, commuting or touring straight out of the box, rather than one that needs immediate upgrading.
High Performance Aluminium Frame with Gravel Comfort Geometry
The Nuroad One’s frame uses smooth welding and carefully chosen tube profiles, with an integrated seat clamp and semi-internal cable routing for a clean finish. Gravel Comfort Geometry gives a slightly more upright, stable position than a race bike, which suits long days and loaded riding. Furthermore, there are extra mounting points on the top tube for a frame bag or multi-tool, alongside the usual rack and mudguard mounts.
Shimano Cues 1×9 Gearing
Shimano’s Cues groupset was designed for durability and easy servicing, and the 1×9 setup here uses an 11-46T cassette for a wide, usable range. Because there’s no front derailleur, shifting is simple and the chain stays put on rough surfaces. It’s a drivetrain that will take a great deal of use and abuse before it needs anything more than a chain.
Shimano Cues Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear are a serious specification at this price, and they make a real difference in British weather. They require far less hand effort than cable discs and stay consistent when the rims are wet or muddy. Consequently, you can descend loose gravel with genuine confidence rather than hoping for the best.
45mm Tyres and Room for 50mm
Schwalbe G-One Comp 45mm tyres roll quickly on tarmac while providing enough tread and volume for forest gravel and bridleways. The Acid GR 2.5 Disc wheelset is tubeless ready, so you can convert later for extra puncture resistance and grip. There’s clearance for 50mm tyres, or 45mm with mudguards fitted, so the bike adapts as your riding changes.
