The 2027 Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 720 is the entry point to Cube’s hardtail e-MTB range, and its character is deliberately different from the CX-powered models above it. Bosch’s Performance Line motor is quieter and smoother, delivering 75Nm in a way that feels like a helping hand rather than a push. As a result, it’s an easy bike to get on with, whether you’re new to e-bikes or simply want something calm and dependable.
The Performance Line drive unit produces up to 75Nm of torque with notably quiet running and a gentle, progressive power curve. Because the assistance is less aggressive than the CX unit, it’s easier to manage on loose surfaces and it uses less battery for the same distance. The 720Wh PowerTube battery is fully integrated, and a Purion 200 controller with integrated display keeps everything simple to read and operate.
An SR Suntour X34 fork provides 120mm of travel, dropping to 100mm on the 27.5in small frame, with a lockout for smoother surfaces. Wide 2.6in Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres add a great deal of comfort and grip, particularly on the New Forest’s gravel and root-strewn tracks. Consequently the bike stays composed on terrain that would unsettle a narrower-tyred hybrid.
A Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain with a 10-51T cassette provides a very wide gear range, so you can ride comfortably at low assistance levels and save battery for later. Shifting is precise and the clutch rear derailleur keeps things quiet over rough ground. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors handle stopping reliably in all weathers.
The Aluminium Superlite frame includes a flat mount for an optional kickstand, a multi-tool mount under the top tube, and mounting points for mudguards and a carrier. X-Connect means a compatible Acid front light plugs directly into the headset with no extra wiring. Size Split runs from S through to XXL, so there’s a genuinely well-proportioned fit for most riders.

Normally, we aim to pack up and send out your orders on the same day (especially if you order before midday) and you’ll have the option to pick which courier you’d like to use at checkout. All letters will be sent via Royal Mail and all bikes are sent using Paisley Freight. Other items have the option of Evri or Royal Mail. Delivery time is usually two or three working days from dispatch.
Small orders should arrive within 3-5 business days and bike orders can take up to 5-10 business days.
